4S RANCH FAMILY RETREAT

A couple with 3 daughters gets a major upgrade to their primary bathroom! Knowing they were renovating the bathroom at some point in the future, an unfortunate leak in one of the vanities prompted them do it sooner than later. Their contractor who assessed the initial leak had room on his schedule to start this project right away, but without a plan, there was nothing to do! We had to come in full force and got this design down rather quickly, however, the IT tile for shower that the homeowner wanted had a 12 week backorder! YIKES! Not wanting to compromise (when you love something, you wait), the construction was put on pause until the tile came in. Luckily, there was still a lot of stuff to do prior to the tile going in, but there was definitely a good lull of no progress until the tile arrived, which can make one antsy! As you can see, it was worth the wait.

 

There were many must haves for this bathroom and when you have the space, you can make it happen. The asks were: a modern, but elegant bathtub, wow-factor backsplashes, WOOD, a steam shower & a sauna. Huge wellness fans and avid exercisers, the steam shower & sauna were essentials to have incorporated into the design. To have the sauna, there was some closet compromising, which they were all for. So the useless (or unused) vanity between the closet doors was demo'd and behind the vanity was the middle of the closet, so the sauna slid right in. How often does one actually use the sauna? Well, this couple uses it several times a week, if not every night! She also takes cold ice baths in her new bathtub, brrrr!!!

 

The blue vanities pop, the amazing geometric marble backsplash is definitely a wow-factor, & the wood mirror & floors plus the rugs warm up all the white & angles of the tiles. They love it and so do we!
